The Standard First Aid (SFA) with CPR/AED Level C course is designed for individuals with little or no previous first-aid training. It focuses on life-saving techniques, including:

Program Objective
By the end of the Standard First Aid (SFA) with CPR/AED Level C course, participants will be able to:
- Assess and respond to emergencies, identifying hazards and calling for help.
- Provide CPR for adults, children, and infants, including the use of an AED.
- Manage airway and breathing emergencies, including performing the Heimlich maneuver.
- Control bleeding and provide wound care to prevent infection.
- Recognize and treat sudden medical emergencies such as heart attacks and strokes.
- Handle musculoskeletal injuries, including fractures, sprains, and strains.
- Recognize and respond to head, neck, and spine injuries.
- Address environmental emergencies, such as hypothermia, frostbite, heatstroke, and heat exhaustion.
- Identify and respond to poisoning, including opioid overdose.
- Activate the EMS system and work effectively with emergency responders and bystanders.

The Standard First Aid (SFA) with CPR/AED Level C training application is currently awaiting approval as a Training Partner with the Canadian Red Cross. No enrollments, advertisements, or marketing will be entertained until this program is approved by the Canadian Red Cross.
